Halloween Weekend

So Molly celebrated her first Halloween this weekend. We went on Halloween night to Kingsland Baptist Church across the street from THS for their Fall Fest. It was packed with games for kids to play and booths for trick or treating. We also checked out another festival at Crosspoint Church, about two blocks away from Kingsland. Both were a good time, and next year we know she will enjoy them since she will be able to play the games and walk around. Here are some pics from her big night out...

Worn out on the drive home...she slept until 8am the next day and mommy and daddy were so thankful for that!!

In other news, she was not at all affected by Daylight Savings Time. She went to bed last night at 7pm and slept until 9am this morning (which was really 10am)! So a grand total of 15 hours last night!

We wrapped up our weekend with a picnic at the park yesterday. It was a perfect day to be outdoors and Molly enjoyed it! A few pics (of course!!)

Possibly my new favorite of her!

Fall Festival Weekend!

This weekend we were quite busy with fall festivals! Ross had a festival at the ranch and Molly's daycare also had their fall festival at a nearby park. We doubled up the fun and headed to both on Saturday. Then on Sunday we went to Zoo Boo at the Houston Zoo. Of course, we have LOTS of pictures, including Molly's first ride on the carousel! She LOVED it!

Molly's Monster Mash

We decided on a Halloween costume for Molly this week. She was going to be a pumpkin, then a giraffe, and now...a MONSTER! But she is not a very scary one, more of a sweet little cuddly one. Judge for yourself...

A Day on the Farm

This past weekend, we took Molly to Dewberry Farm and spent the day there with her granny, Aunt Christine, cousin Emily, and great granny. The farm had a pumpkin patch, hayrides, train rides, goats you could feed, pig races, rubber duck races, farm animals, and a gorgeous flower patch with sunflowers as big as she was! Here are some pics from ther day:

How to Stand Up

Molly has been pulling herself up to standing successfully for about 2 weeks. She started off only able to do it using certain things, and now she can virtually do it using anything. I caught her in action today using her laugh and learn table to pull up and play. What's even cuter is that once she stands up and she hears the music on the table, she starts to dance a little bit. Here are some pics of her and a video.

Here We Go Again!

Yes, I know Molly already has another blog. The sad thing is that I cannot for the life of me remember how to log into it. So here we are! I do think this one is much cuter, anyway :)

The last time I posted on the old blog was after Molly's 4 month check up at the doctor. Given that she is not over 7 months old, we have a lot to catch up on. So here we go!

First the stats:

Weight 8lbs, 3.5oz at birth (2/14)
7lbs, 15oz at discharge (2/16)
8lbs at first doctor's appt (2/18)
9lbs, 1oz at 2 week appt (2/28)
10lbs, 9oz at 1 month appt (3/14)
13lbs, 2oz at 2 month appt (4/11)
17lbs, 8 oz at 4 month appt (6/16)
20lbs, 11 oz at 6 month appt (8/12)

Height

20 1/4 inches at birth/discharge
20 7/8 inches at first doctor's appt
21 5/8 inches at 2 week appt
22 1/2 inches at 1 month appt
24 inches at 2 month appt
26 1/8 inches at 4 month appt

28 1/8inches at 6 month appt

We have been to the doctor since that check up because Molly had a cough and cold that would not go away and at her last check up she weighed in at 21lbs, 6 oz. Given her growth, we updated her to a convertible car seat this past week. Here she is looking all grown up:

In other news, she has some new grown up tricks. She has mastered crawling and pulling herself up to standing. She can pull up on almost anything at this point. The sofa, the crib, the entertainment center, you name it and she can use it as a tool for leverage. Last week she was playing in her Pack and Play while I cleaned up a bit and this is how we found her:

She is certainly growing up. It is hard to believe she is more than halfway to a year old!

And for your pleasure, here are some of our favorite 7 month photos, taken just last week.
