Beach Club!!

We went to the Cinco Ranch Beach Club with our playgroup this morning and had a blast with all the moms and babies! Here are a few pics!

We spent a Saturday at Mercer Botannical Gardens to test out the new camera we got....here is cutie Molly in the gardens....







We also took a little day trip to the downtown Houston aquarium. Molly was very interested in the fish and would point and say "see" and then wave at them. We also rode the train and the carousel!











When we got home, Molly got to play in the backyard on her new pool, water table, and picnic table. This kid has it all!

Happy Easter!!

Molly had a wonderful Easter weekend this year. Granny and Papa came to visit and we spent some more time in the bluebonnets, we hunted eggs, and on Easter Sunday we went to the playground after a random and harsh rain and hail storm that lasted all of 30 minutes. Back in the Bluebonnets!

And this time, we got some smiles!

Spring in Texas!

And that means the bluebonnets are sprouting up all over. On Sunday, we took an afternoon drive towards Brenham, TX to see what we could find. We stumbled first upon a decent patch on the side of the highway and snapped a few pictures. Then as we drove further north, we found a field absolutely COVERED with the beautiful flowers. Molly was pretty tired and would not take the thumb out of the mouth, but we got some cute pictures anyway. We hope to drive out again this coming Sunday for another shot at a few more pictures of her in them and maybe some family ones also!

For her birthday, Molly received this climber/slide from her Granny Sue and Papa Larry. She has mostly been going in and out of the door and loves to slide if you put her up and help her. Today, she started trying to climb up the slide. And imagine my surprise when she actually made it all the way to the top several times all on her own. Unfortunately, she moved a little too fast for me to get the whole thing in one long swoop, so I pieced together a few of her attempts and one of the grand finale of her getting to the top, standing on the platform, and then sliding head-first back down. One thing is certain about this kid...she is fearless!

Spring Break!

Since Molly and I have been having so much fun this week, I thought it would be nice to share some pictures!

Here she is playing on her slide yesterday after our (mis)adventure to the zoo. Suffice it to say that the Houston Zoo during Spring Break is rightfully called a zoo.





And today we took a little trip to the neighborhood playground. It was the first time we went to this playground, but she had it all to herself and had a good time!

Happy St Patty's Day!

It's been a busy week for Molly! Mommy is on Spring Break and is so excited to have the week with her baby. Monday we went in for Molly to get her tubes put in. Since she has had chronic ear infections since August, we knew it was time. It was such a fast procedure. The worst part was having to give her away and leave the pre-op area to wait in the waiting room. She was such a strong and brave little girl though. Everything went fine and we were done in just under 2 hours. She came home and played the whole day as if nothing had happened.

Yesterday we went to a playgroup event. It was a St Patty's Day lunch and playdate. Molly had a good time playing with her new friends.

Today we hope to get out to the zoo as the weather is supposed to be nice.

And of course Molly wore her green yesterday to wish everyone a Happy St Patty's Day!
